Maddie is getting very good at unwrapping gifts. Practice makes perfect.
Maddie got some cute new shoes.
Maddie got another giraffe ... they are her favorite!
She also got some cute new PJ's with monkeys on them!
Maddie also got some pink tennis balls ...
... and a pink soccer ball ...
... and a pink softball glove!
After we opened present, we headed down to the Hill for dinner at Zia's. It was delicious! Maddie had some green beans and some pasta shells. She also had her favorite ... bread! I wonder where she gets that from?!
Maddie also showed us her new trick ... drinking from a straw! What a big girl!
She loved playing with the ice ... just one more sign that she is her daddy's child!
On the ride home, the birthday girl passed out!
We woke her up when we got home for another birthday cupcake. This time, it was an ice cream cup cake. I love this progression of photos. She is not sure what we are up to or why we are singing that same song again. 
Then Maddie had a few cuddles with "Mag" (that is what Maddie calls him now ... go figure that the dog is the first one to get a real name!) and daddy.
What a great first birthday!
