One Friday, we went to the Children's Museum for a little fun. Evelyn is just big enough to enjoy it now. We did, however, experience the grossest thing so far in my 5 1/2 years of being a mother. Evelyn puts everything in her mouth. Maddie never really went through this stage, so it is new for us. While in the baby area with Evelyn, I noticed she put something in her mouth. I went to remove it and discovered it was a soggy cookie that another child kindly left behind. I managed not to throw up, removed the cookie, got yelled at by my child, and left that area. Gross.
Evelyn loved the shopping area because she is just tall enough for the carts.
Maddie's favorite part was the vet clinic. She put on her doctor coat and took care of all the animals. It was so much fun to watch. Maybe that will be her future ... we could use a vet in the family!
The girls also loved the dinosaur area. Maddie just loves dinosaurs.
The girls play together in Maddie's secret hideout. Too much fun! You should see the assortment of toys. In case you are looking for it, Nick, your XBox controller is in there. :)
I have been trying to get a picture of Evelyn's teeth since the first one came in last month. I finally got a picture of her smiling. She has two bottom teeth only right now. I am sure the rest will pop through in no time!
One afternoon, the girls got some chalk out and had a wonderful time together on our front steps.
We went to Maddie's open house. This was hanging up. It is her first art class project. It has all the things she likes on it. It has a horse, a pony, a sun, a snake, a ball and hot cocoa.
Evelyn's hair is getting long and is in her face a lot. I tied it up and it just cracked me up (I put a clip over it so it sat down a little but I had to take a picture like this because it is so cute!).
Evelyn is into everything these days. Here she is on her tip tip tippy toes getting my phone off the bookshelf. She cracks us up.
Evelyn loves her walker. She does, however, get frustrated when it is stopped by walls, stairs, bookshelves, etc. She has quite a temper. She shakes it until she realizes she can't move through walls ... not yet, at least (daddy says).
