Doctor Visit

Well, it was my least favorite time ... doctor visit time. I used to enjoy them when they would just weigh her and make sure everything was going well ... but now they give her shots. The first time it happened, she was 2 months old. I thought that that was it for shots for a long, long time. Little did I know, her 4 month visit also included shots. :( I, like always, turned my back and cried about as much as she did. Luckily her daddy is brave and stands with her while she gets her shots.

Maddie is doing very well. She is growing and is meeting all her milestones. She kicked the doctor a lot, which is good, she said. She grabbed onto the stethoscope, smiled, squealed, looked at the pretty baby in the mirror and rolled over on the table! The doctor was very impressed with her rolling skills. :)

She weighed 13 pounds 11 ounces (at 2 months, she weighed 10 pounds 1 ounce). The doctor was very impressed with her weight gain. Ahhh ... to be a baby again and be happy about chunky thighs!

(I cropped this photo ... it was quite the rudie-nudie shot!)

She was 24 1/2 inches long (at 2 months she was 23 3/4 long)

Her head was 40.7 cm around (I don't remember last time's measurement).

After the measurements were done, Maddie relaxed and talked to the pretty baby in the mirror.

Little did she know, the nurse was coming back to give her her shots. :( I did not watch this part and did not take photos. It is too sad. Luckily, daddy was there wit a big bottle of fresh milk. It makes everything better.

Here she is with her band-aids on. They are very pretty, but very sad.
