Grant's Farm

What a beautiful day at Grant's Farm!!!!

We got the group together and headed to Grant's Farm, today. It was my first trip there and the girls were excited to show me all their favorite parts!

First, we rode the tram in. It is such a family friendly place! The little ones had a great time watching all of the animals go passed ... and so did I!! They are so close!!!

First we saw some downy goslings ... so cute!

Then we saw a baby horse who had been born that morning! They did not even have a name for him yet. He was walking around, though, on his wobbly little legs. Here he is with his momma. Too cute!

Then we saw some SERIOUS longhorns. How on earth do they keep their heads up!?! Hook em!

The stroller ladies got off the tram and headed into the petting zoo!


The only real petting part is the goats, and they are a little crazy. We might bring Maddie back in a year when she is a little steadier on her feet to feed the goats. For now, we just looked.

Then we found the chickens. Maddie was nuts about them! She did not want to leave. When we tried to go to a new area, she kept letting go of my hand and running back to them shouting "meng" and pointing. She loves birds!

All of the fences are just the right height for one year olds. Maddie and her friends all took a good look at everything.







Then we founds some very large tortoises. They were slow movers, but a lot of fun to watch!Then we found the parrots. Again, Maddie could not stop looking at them!
Then we found a camel. He was so cute ... and SO CLOSE!! I got a few photos ... without a zoom!

We had a wonderful time. I do not have many photos or video because I was trying to make sure Maddie did not jump in the pens with the animals and did not run away. Maddie had a great time and so did I. We will be back, for sure!!!
