Houston Trip

So, since my last post, I have started back up at work and am now remembering how exhausted those little kids can make you!! I am SO sorry that I have not put any new photos up in a while. I know there are many of you out there, who will remain nameless (Grandma Susan) who are going through Maddie withdrawals ... I can actually feel your hands shaking on the mouse! I will try to be better about posting. I will try and update it each weekend.

Here are a few photos from Maddie's weekend at Nana and Teddy's. They watched her while her deadbeat parents went to Vegas. We sure do sound like stand up parents, don't we?!

Maddie and I flew down to Houston. While we waited for our flight, Maddie practiced her wrestling moves with her dolly.

When we got to Houston, we went for a little stroll. Maddie found a bunch of leaves and twigs to play with. She would bring them to Teddy and they would inspect them together.

That night, they watched a little Discovery Channel. Maddie really enjoyed watching the animals.

Then she took a bath and relaxed in her new Houston chair.
The next day, I left for Vegas. Here are some beautiful photos taken while I was gone.

This is my new most favorite photo! My mom said she only did this for a split second, but doesn't she look so beautiful and intelligent?!
Here is Maddie's regular hairdo. Totally out of control!!

Maddie loves going outside. She LOVES flowers and plants. Lucky for her, her Nana has a great garden.

Maddie played with her friend the goose.
She went and collected leaves again. Maybe she will become a scientist.

Later that day, she took some calls over lunch ... she really is quite a busy young lady. Business lunches and conference calls already.

She ate her whole lunch!!!She and Teddy read a book.
Next day ... repeat. Garden ...

... stroll... Laughing her WONDERFUL laugh.

Later that day, I came home and we went to a friend's house to play. Maddie crawled inside his house area and though she was invisible (that is her "they can't see me if I stand really still" face).

The next morning, she relaxed on the big bed. She just LOVES the big beds!

We went home that afternoon. Maddie discovered the floor of the airplane. I discovered a new level of tolerance for dirty floors. I have learned the lesson many mothers have - sometimes it is easier to just let them get into the dirty thing than fight a battle in public.

Although Nick says I have a million of them, I just love the hand on the window photo.
I hope this helped you all get through your weekend. Again, I am sorry this has taken so long. I have more to upload, but it is time for bed now. Good night all!

Yes, I surely did miss the Maddie postings, and to think she was in houston!!
Next time, if there is time, please do come over with Maddie.
The Houston pics are really sweet--
in the garden in her pretty summer dresses with her Nana.
