So, our story actually begins on Wednesday at 3:07PM. I received my first phone call at work from Maddie's school. No, she had not led all the other children in a revolt against the teachers with "Meng" as their battle cry (although I am sure I will get that call one day soon), but that my poor baby was running a fever of 102.4. Very sad. :( I went and got her and she went to bed early. The next day, a very sleepy daddy had the day off (to sleep) and stayed home with Maddie (who did not sleep ... at all ... all day!). I came home to a stuffy, snotty baby and a very sleepy daddy (he went to bed at 6PM!). On Friday morning, we all hopped on a flight down to Dallas. We gave Maddie some meds to help with the pressure ... poor thing. :(
She and Daddy worked on the Sudoku (she is much faster than Daddy),
fought sleep and read a magazine,
The next morning, Daddy went off to play "golf" and Maddie and her grandma had some fun relaxing in the swing.
Then Maddie had a little quiet time and read in the big bed for a little bit,
took a nap, and got ready for her big night!
We got to the church and got Maddie and Daddy dressed. They both looked wonderful!
Maddie just loved the flowers. The photographer has some INCREDIBLE photos of Maddie. We are going to order a few and then I will make sure everyone sees them. They are just beautiful!
At the end of the wedding, Maddie sat on the steps and watched everyone leave. She is just such a little cream puff!
She tried to take her shoes off,
she clapped for everyone
The next day, we had a wonderful breakfast and then headed back to Dallas to catch our flight. Maddie was tuckered out. It was a long weekend full of fun and family. She slept most of the way to Dallas and some of the way to St. Louis.
