18 Month Visit

So, we were about a month late on Maddie's 18 month doctor visit. Oops!

We went and saw our doctor and everything is looking good. Here are Maddie's stats:
Length = 33.3 inches (between percentile 75 and 90)
Weight = 27 lb 8 oz (between percentile 75 and 90)
Head Circumference = 47.6 cm (between percentile 50 and 75)

She is always very good for the doctor and always gets compliments on how well behaved she is. I am always very proud of her!

Maddie filled out her autism screening form (this is a routine thing ... do not worry!). She then got her flu shot (not pleased about that) and went back to school.

Maddie is happy and healthy ... and really funny. We are just so in love with her.

Now that she is 18 months, we are in the process of removing the binki. She is not a fan and not very pleased. The other night, though, I went in to soothe her and we sat in the rocker and laughed and laughed. Then she pointed to my eye and I said "eye" and then she said "eye" three times!!!! I just about jumped out of the chair! I started yelling for Daddy to come up and hear her do it. He came up and she started crying because she knew Daddy would give her her binki. In the end she got it because it is just too sad to see her crying. We felt like monsters. Any advice?

Just let her have it! The first time a kid makes fun of her for having it, she will stop using it. I used mine till I was like 5 years old! But just at night. I don't think it really mattered in the long run.
