A Wonderful Weekend

Daddy had what is called a "Golden Weekend."  It is when you are off all weekend.  It was nice for Daddy to sleep in and nice for all of us to have so much time together.

Maddie decided she wanted to have a picnic on Saturday.  We packed up our lunches and went to Art Hill in Forest Park.  Lunch was delicious and the weather was perfect.  Maddie and Daddy rested a little on the blanket then ran around playing soccer.  I lazed around on the blanket the whole time!  What a great idea, Maddie!

On Sunday, we went to a Cardinal's game.  We realized that this may be one of our last games here in St. Louis.  :(

Daddy wanted to make sure to get Maddie a Build-a-Bear Cardinal.  Maddie was very excited.  She chose this cardinal.

Here she is kissing and hugging the heart before it went in its body.

Then she pressed the pedal to fill it up with cotton.

She picked out some Cardinal's gear for her to wear (pink, of course!)

Then she and Daddy named her Sweetie.
