Our elf, named Pantala (said PAN-tuh-luh) has shown up every morning somewhere different. The first morning he just sat on the shelf. After that though ... he got a little more creative!
Even though it was 70 degrees out, we decided it was time to put our tree up. Maddie was so excited to get everything out. She is getting so big and is able to hang up almost all the ornaments herself!
We realized we did not have a top for our tree (we normally just put a Santa hat up there). We went shopping and Maddie picked out a hot pink glitter star. You didn't expect anything less, did you?
I decided that this was the weekend to go see Santa. It was the first weekend in December and so I figured it was a perfect time to go see the jolly man. We were sure that there was going to be a HUGE long line but we went anyway. We got both girls dressed in their Santa outfits and headed to the mall. There was no line when we arrived so we were sure it was closed. We walked over anyway and it was open so we just kept walking right up to the front. We were sure they were going to tell us that Santa was going on break ... but instead they just moved us right along into his lap. Really? It was a Christmas miracle. Maddie sat on his lap and read him her list. She was a clever girl. Not only did she write what she wanted, but she also cut out pictures to make sure that Santa got it just right. Very smart!
