We took our first family vacation since moving up here. We decided to go to Bend, Oregon. We first had to drive through Boring, OR.
It was nice to have Nick go on vacation. The guy works super hard and needed a break. He enjoyed the local beers ... a lot.
... and he looked VERY happy about that. Love this face!
Maddie thought that the sofa that pulled out into a couch was the coolest thing she had ever heard of! Our girls snuggled up one morning.
On our first day there, we went up to Mt. Bachelor for a little fun in the snow. Maddie got all pinked up and ready for ski school!
Evelyn was in 2T clothes so she had a little trouble walking around but she loved it anyway!

We dropped Maddie off and ski school and came back to watch for a little bit. She was doing great!
Evelyn loved the snow.
Nick, Evelyn and I got all suited up and went snow shoeing through the beautiful forest up on Mt. Bachelor.
It was amazing!
Evelyn liked leaning back and getting snowflakes on her face.
Evelyn started to get very cold so she and I went back to the car. Nick went to pick up Maddie from ski school and got a video of her last run down the mountain. She is the little pink dot in the top center of the video. She loved it! We can't wait to take her back again!
Evelyn and I warmed up in the car with a little animal crackers and milk and heated seats. :)
We had a wonderful trip to Bend. It is beautiful. We want to go back in the summer and do some more outdoor activities. It is so beautiful there!
