St. Louis Trip

We have been so excited about Keary and Lindsey's upcoming wedding. The girls have been practicing throwing petals and have been trying on their outfits. They are going to look so cute!

You know you have lived a privileged life when the most exciting part of a flight is the bus ride from the parking lot to the airport. Maddie just loved it! She went and sat right up front and acted like she was on some kind of rollercoaster the whole time. So silly.

We got all tucked in to our seats and started watching a Barbie movie.

We got settled into our hotel room pretty late and were up early getting our hair done. Maddie and I went to the bride's hotel room to get all dollied up and Evelyn stayed with Donna, ZsaZsa and Megan so she could get a nap in before the wedding. Madde got her hair curled and loved it!

Maddie was in heaven in the limo on the way to the ceremony.

While we went and took pictures around town the girls stayed and played. This may be one of my favorite pictures ever. Way to go Megan!

So Sweet!

Fabian, Nick and Pete were in the same lab many years ago. Here they are 5 years and 6 kids later. Still handsome as ever if you ask me!

Nick and I had a wonderful time at the wedding. We danced and had fun with friends that we have not seen in at least a year. It was a wonderful reunion. Thank you so much to Megan, Donna and ZsaZsa for looking after the girls so we could have a night out.

Nick had to leave on Sunday to get back to work, but we stopped by to see Great Grandma Hamilton before we left. She and Daddy cracked all kinds of jokes and laughed a lot. It was great seeing her.

We dropped Daddy off at the airport and then headed out to Warrenton to stay with Grandpa Mitchell and Donna. Maddie brought her princess cookbook so she could make some recipes with Donna. She and Grandpa looked through it together.

Then they lifted weights together. :)

The next day, we went and visited Maddie's preschool teachers. They were SO excited to see Maddie. It was wonderfully sweet. We all caught up and played on the playground. Evelyn showed no fear of the faster older kids. Miss Dezzie commented on what a strong personality she is. Yep. :)

Then it was time to surprise my Marion friends! It was so much fun seeing their faces. The confusion leading into excitement was just too fun. I have missed everyone so much!

While I was at Marion, Travis and Debbie took the girls to the zoo! They had a wonderful time. Maddie has been talking about the St. Louis Zoo for months. They had a wonderful time together!

We headed back out to Warrenton for another fun night together. I love this picture of our girls. So sweet.
Silly Evelyn.
We went to the butterfly house the next day and I felt something crawling up my pants. I discovered it was this beetle ... Wow! OK. Full disclosure - that is a mini Ritz cracker ... but still ... YUCK!

Donna and Megan went on the carousel with the girls. It was so much fun!

Then we walked over to the Butterfly House. We found one of the St. Louis birthday cakes there!
We met up with Urvi and Corina for a day with the butterflies. I can't believe how much she has grown! She will be two in August! Amazing!
Love

Back at Donna's, Maddie found her caterpillar friends again. :)

The next day we headed to the airport to head home to Daddy and we found another birthday cake!

The trip home was interesting. Evelyn did not nap and was in quite a mood. A flight attendant came by to ask about drinks and I ordered juice for the girls. He asked if I wanted anything and I joked "whiskey?!" We had a good laugh and he left. Later that flight he returned with a little bottle of Dewers. He handed it to me and said "in case you have time later." I laughed, thinking he was joking. He told me to take it ... so I did. Best. Flight attendant. Ever. :)

We made it home after a fun week back in St. Louis. We really missed everyone. Congrats Lindsey and Keary!
