Just like her big sister, Evelyn needed to get ear tubes. She has had fluid or an infected ear every time our pediatrician has seen her since we moved to Portland. She has not really started talking and so we decided this would be best. We arrived at 7:30 ready to go. Kiwi came with us, of course.
Evelyn put on the cutest gown and rocked the short dress with those luscious legs of hers.
They took her back without any pre-op drugs (sometimes children are anxious before surgery so they give them some medicine to make them a little loopy before surgery but Evelyn went with the team without too much drama ... on her side ... I was a mess ... but that is how I roll). After just a short time, they brought me back to see her. She was still asleep but I was there when she woke up. She cried for a bit but we snuggled up and she calmed down pretty quickly. She downed three cups of juice ... no joke ... and was ready to go pretty fast. Both our girls are tough cookies! Now we wait for the talking to begin.
I wonder what she is going to tell us!
