We have been having lots of fun together this summer. We decided to make our backyard a little more kid friendly. We moved to the greenest place ever ... and put down fake grass! Our backyard doesn't get that much sun so grass would never grow. I thought this would make the backyard a little more fun - the mulch gets muddy and gross. We cleaned all of our outdoor toys and set up a little place for the girls.
We play bubbles ....
Color
Make big bubbles ...
Have morning snack in our PJ's and play restaurant. It really is a great space. Not fancy ... but who needs fancy when you have fun!
Evelyn loves ice cream.
Just hanging out
New trick.
"Let's put your diaper back on."
"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! No! No! No!"
Still no diaper ... mommy has obviously given up.
Swim lessons
"Go get dressed for the supermarket Maddie."
... ok?
(note - there are TWO puffy skirts under there - one was not puffy enough I guess)
Silly face
"I'll get Evelyn dressed mommy!"
"OK. Thanks Maddie."
Oh ...
Maybe I use the backyard to start hosing her off too?
Evelyn loves trains and cars now. We got her a train track and she is in love!
Daddy had to work for the Fourth of July so Maddie and I had some Mommy and Maddie fun. We made red, white and blue rice crispy treats and s'mores. We stayed up late and had our yummy snacks together. At about 9:30, we went out and sat on the top of my car (she thought it was the coolest thing she has ever done). From the roof of my car (with the baby monitor of course) we watched the beautiful fireworks over the river. It was perfect. No crowds and a perfectly clear view. I will never forget snuggling with Maddie on the top of my car that 4th. It is one of my favorite mommy moments.
