Maddy's new love of Star Wars has brought us a new family holiday - May the fourth. Maddy asked for a Star Wars bow. I called all around and couldn't find Star Wars ribbon anywhere. I guess they don't realize that girls like Star Wars too! Mommy rigged something up using the rings left over from Maddy's birthday cupcakes. :)
Darth Evelyn ... LOVED her cape
Everyone at Trader Joe's went nuts over her outfit. :) One guy even brought out his "real" light saber.
Cute girls at school
Then it was time for our special dinner. Maddy was super excited about the menu: Han Burgers with Cheesbacca, Jaba the Hot Dogs, Onion Rings of Coruscant, Tom Tomatoes (I late learned they are called Taun Tauns so I will have to work on accuracy for next year), Yodacado (avocado) and Light Sabergus (asparagus). To drink we had Vaderade (lemonade) and for dessert we had Princess Leia buns (cinnamon buns) and Carbonite-O (see below). It was so much fun!! We already have more ideas for next year!
Here is our Carbonite-O. Han Solo stuck in Jello. :)
And of course the night had to end with a light saber fight.
