Trip to the Zoo

Tomorrow night, Daddy starts back up in the hospital. We have three more years (school years) here in Saint Louis and then two more after that. We are getting closer to the end. Daddy starts on Night Float (so he works 6PM to 6AM). Luckily Maddie and I will be in New Zealand for 3 of the 5 weeks.

Maddie, Gaga and I went to the zoo for Daddy's last day of freedom. Maddie loved petting the guinie pigs and bunnies.


Sadly, she also liked the cockroaches.

We saw some meerkats,

and a tree kangaroo.
But Maddie was most interested in the Jeep. Daddy was so proud.


We enjoyed playing in the water spouts. She got soaked and loved it!

Maddie's favorite animal in the whole zoo was the chicken, though. She kept chasing it around.

Next, we went to see the goats. Maddie loved brushing them.

Finally, we went to see the penguins and the puffins. This was Maddie's favorite part. The penguins were very silly and kept splashing Maddie and Gaga. It was so funny.





We had a great trip to the zoo. Maddie was worn out by nap time and slept for 3 and a half hours and then went down at 7:30 that night and slept another 12 hours. The zoo might be a regular visit for us this summer. :)
