Today was a better day. Maddie and I got to school and she was happier to be put down. I sat with her for a minute, and Ms. Pat asked if Maddie wanted to give her a hug. Maddie ran over to her, arms wide open and gave Ms. Pat a big hug and then I left. No tears ... from either side. She is such a big girl.
Funny story:
Maddie thinks it is really funny when she passes gas (we call it "poot" or "pootie"). She laughs and says "pooooooooooot!!!" at the top of her lungs and we all laugh really hard. I am trying to teach her to say excuse me when she does it (she already says it when she is trying to get passed something ... she says "'seuse me woof woof" or "suese me chair"). So last night, all three of us were hanging out in the big bed before Maddie's bedtime and she let one out (PS: not a very dainty pootie) and she laughed. Nick said, "what do you say?" and she said "POOT, POOT, POOT!!!" It was really funny. She then said excuse me ... but we laughed for the next couple hours about it. Very funny.
