Words Are Bad

Grandmothers, read no further. I warn you, this will break your heart.

Parents encourage their first child to crawl and then regret it when they can no longer leave them in one spot. They then encourage the child to walk ... and they begin to run.

Well, this is how I feel about Maddie's words. We struggled for so long with her words, and I am now wishing for the days of cries and laughter.

Maddie has moved to the big girl room. On the first day, she went without issue. On the second day (yesterday) the teacher had to physically remove her from my arms as she said "NO SCHOOL! MY MOMMY!" (insert sound of my heart breaking here). On day three (today) I left her screaming like her arms had been chopped off screaming "MOMMY! MY MOMMY!" (insert sound of me sobbing here).

It is amazing which words are perfectly clear.

I know she has fun at school and I know she did this when she was first in her baby room ... but it does not make it any less difficult on my poor heart.
