Saint Louis Christmas 2010

What a wonderful Christmas we have had! It has been full of food, family, fun and ... PRESENTS!!! Maddie is so lucky to have so many people who love her. Our story begins in St. Louis ...

Maddie's Christmas Extravaganza began with a Mitchell Christmas. Zsa Zsa's family headed over to our house ... and they did not come alone. We filled our living room with gifts galore!

Maddie was so excited to have Aunt Summer come stay with us. She and Summer had so much fun making Play-Do hair and cutting it ... and making it ... and cutting it ...
"he-uh" (hair)
She had to show Donna how it was done ...
... and she thought Grandma B was hysterical trying to eat the Play-Do cookie Maddie had made.
Maddie hid in her princess house and Summer was the only one small enough to go in and get her. Maddie found this to be one of the greatest things ever!
... so did Summer! :)
We all sat around having a wonderful time ...
taking care of all of Maddie's babies ...
... all of Maddie's babies!
Summer tried to teach Maddie how to sit like a lady ... Maddie found it easier to sit like a frog.
Then it began ....

This photo is called "Tornado"

I love Maddie's face in this photo! Maddie got an Ariel doll for the bath and could not be more pumped!
Then she unwrapped her Ariel outfit and she knew just who to go to for dress up help!
Aunt Summer knew just what to do!

And wait ... there are Ariel accessories! Seriously! A purse, keys, phone, credit card, money ... and so much more. Aunt Summer took care of it all and ....
well ... there is nothing to say, really.
Uncle Andrew discovered that part of the joy of being and aunt or uncle is giving fun gifts for the kids with an unstated grin to the parents. For example, an uncle might go and find the loudest toy in the store and give it to a niece or nephew. Well ... Aunt Summer introduced Maddie to "snow." She showed her how to turn styrofoam into snow. Thank you Aunt Summer. Best gift ever!

We took a nice little family picture.
And Linda got a picture with her nephews.
At the end of the night, Maddie got a funny looking lollipop.
... and found a few unopened presents.
The next morning, Summer was curling her hair with her new curling iron. Maddie thought it looked girlie enough and wanted to try it too. Summer was only too happy to oblige.
Before I took this photo, Maddie said "my pree-dee."
Chapter 2: A Hamilton Christmas Bonanza

When you notice you are getting low on sugar, flour, milk, etc, you make sure to refill so as to not run out. Well ... our Christmas tree was refilled. Good thing, too. I was starting to see our "snow" covered floor.
Maddie wore a new outfit from Aunt Summer. "Pink my favorite." (and princess shoes)
Maddie posed with her PopPop.
And played babies with Tim.
And created a game plan with Sam.
Maddie was ready ... plan of action ... dive right in!
And she did ...

Great Grandma Hamilton bought Maddie a new tricycle. It was ridden around the house all night. What a wonderful toy!

PopPop and Suz bought Maddie a Mizzou cheerleader doll and matching outfit ...
... her outfit says tiger, but her face and heart say longhorn. HOOK 'EM!!
The next morning was Christmas day (yes, people ... we have only just made it to Christmas!) Santa brought a few small items for Maddie, Little Man, Magnus and Daddy. Maddie helped everyone with their stockings. (see video)

Little Man put on his reindeer outfit and looked so cute! His Christmas name is Man Man the Pudgy Reindeer.
We braved the snow and headed over to Tim and Debbie's house for Christmas breakfast. Summer, Andrew and Maddie wanted a picture in the snow. Too cute!
Maddie got to Tim and Debbie's and found a comfortable place to plonk herself.
She then attacked Travis.
and giggled with Sam
and played dress up dolls with Travis
We had a wonderful Saint Louis Christmas. We headed to Houston the next morning to start it all over again!

Here is a little video of all of our Christmas fun from St. Louis.
