Maddie also had a special treat for the trip ... her own DVD player! Although Nick and I said we would never do it, what else is a 3 year old going to do for 9 hours? We figure it would make the trip a little more fun for her too.
Right away, Maddie dove into gifts from ZsaZsa. The bags were full of cute clothes and fun toys!
Could they look any happier?
Maddie loved their backyard! It was so big and she just ran and ran and ran and ran. She also made ZsaZsa run a lot. They were so silly!
After all that running, they snuggled up with a flat lamb each and pretended to sleep. :)
After all that fun, we needed a lunch break. We went to Daddy's favorite restaurant - Samurai and ate a ton of food!
We came home to play some more! Maddie is such a princess ... but she loves construction trucks. It is the strangest combination, but her Daddy loves it!
Maddie and Grandpa Steve enjoyed a little lunch together at a table that was just the right size for Maddie.
This video shows the progression from scared of jumping to loving it and never wanting to get off the trampoline!
This is how I found Maddie one night after lots and lots of jumping. Worn out!
The next day, we did a lot of the same things. Played on truck ... ran around ... jumped on trampoline ... Maddie was in heaven!
Then it got even better! Zsa Zsa took Maddie to get her nails done! It was the greatest thing Maddie has ever known! She got pink nails with flowers and rhinestones!

Could she look happier?!
Then the great day got even better ... off for a little ice cream! Mmmm ...
After ice cream, we went to the park to feed the ducks and geese and I got some cute photos of Maddie with her Zsa Zsa.

After that we went to the Wichita Falls. They were pretty cool!

Found a rock ...

Nick and I also found time to go boot shopping. Who would have thought that Nick would go back to Wichita Falls and buy cowboy boots?! They are going to be his work boots ... seriously ... as in working in the OR boots!
