Easter arrived and we had lots of fun things planned! Maddie and Daddie dyed eggs.
Then Daddy taught her how to eat them ... something her mother would NEVER do (I do not like hard boiled eggs). Maddie ate only the whites and ate almost all of them!
Then we made sugar cookies. Maddie is very good at rolling out the dough.
We cut them into Easter shapes and baked them ... then the real fun began! We decorated the cookies with all sorts of icing and sprinkles.
There may have been a little taste testing.
And just a little more ...
Daddy wanted to help taste test too ... just to be sure.
These are the cookies that managed to escape Daddy and Maddie. They were really cute.
The next morning was Easter and Maddie woke up to find that the Easter bunny had left her a Hello Kitty Easter basket filled with all her favorite things!
We thought we would follow the bunny theme and make carrot cake to bring over to Tim and Debbie's house. We decorated it like crazy, too.
At Tim and Debbie's house, we discovered that the Easter bunny had left eggs!
Later that afternoon, Maddie challenged her great grandmother to a game of Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots!
It got pretty intense!
We had a wonderful Easter full of sugar, family and fun!
