After filling poor Donna's basement with a car full of stuff ... (yes ... the plan is to somehow fly to Portland with all of this stuff ... don't ask me how ... ugh) ...
We went to another house to make a huge mess. It is just what we do. We go from one clean house to the next filling it with toys and other assorted junk. Everyone loves seeing us, I'm sure! We traveled to Palmyra to visit Grandma and Grandpa B for a few days. We were there only about 30 minutes and this is what we did to the living room ... it is a talent. And yes ... that is Evelyn just laying there in the middle enjoying her handy-work and Maddie sneaking away behind the chair trying to claim none of it.
Evelyn did not want to sleep in her pack and play that night so I had both girls in bed with me. I spent much of the night protecting Evelyn from Maddie's swinging arms (I have received a slap in the face many nights lately ... it is a fun way to wake up). I slept on about 4 inches of bed that night. Luckily I had lots of help in the morning so it was ok.
Here is a little fun with the best toy in the house ... the coffee can. Evelyn's most favorite toy, however, is Maddie's hair. She LOVES to pull it. It makes her squeal like crazy. Maddie is such a good big sister and lets her do it.
On Friday, we went to do a very Missouri thing before we left ... we went to take a riverboat ride down the Mississippi ... a la Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn.
Evelyn loved looking at the river.
(grandpa B took this cute shot)
Maddie had fun too!
She even took the riverboat for a spin
That night Bruce and Carolyn came over. The girls had a lot of fun with Bruce.
On Saturday we got all dressed up and went to Jimmy's wedding.
Maddie had fun with the big girls
She kept calling Sarah the princess. It was really cute.
Mae and I danced all night!
It was a beautiful wedding. Congratulations Jimmy and Sarah!
