Day to Day

Evelyn is a real crawling machine these days.  She is super fast and is into everything.  She is a real stinker.  She especially loves getting into the recycling while I am cooking.  Here she is playing right under my feet (like she does every night) with the recycling.

I was stuck in traffic one day.  I looked over and saw this view and decided I didn't care about the traffic.  Beautiful.

We needed to run to the store to get some milk one afternoon.  I asked Maddie to get ready.  She came downstairs dressed like this.  She then told me that she was not Tinkerbell but Rapunzel just in a different dress because princesses can wear lots of different dresses.  I decided just to roll with it ...
Pretty major sized cart for a gallon of milk but it was what was requested ... and they both seem pretty happy about it.

Later that afternoon we headed to the park.  Evelyn loved her swing of course.  I feel like I could do a swing collage of swing pictures.  Maddie rode her bike the whole way there.  She is getting really good and is going faster and faster.  I had to run to catch up.  I am a nervous wreck with all the hills and turns but she seems to be getting it.  I yelled "Push back on the brakes!  Push back on the breaks!" and she yelled back at me "I am!" ... so I am learning to let her be and just (pretend to) relax.

The girls love to take a bath together.  I have to close the glass doors most nights because they splash like crazy.  The first five minutes of every bath is splashing and giggling.  It is super cute.

Evelyn loves the front load washer.  She tries to catch the water and is kind of annoyed by the glass.

Here are the girls playing in the kitchen with a tupperware ... again ... our house is full of toys and they both would rather throw around a tupperware filled with plastic clips!  It is hysterical.  Very very funny.

So that is our life right now.  Poor Nick has a bit of a rough schedule.  He leaves around 5:30am (he rides his bike!) and gets home somewhere between 7 and 8pm right now.  He is enjoying work and has done some pretty cool cases.

Kindergarten starts on September 9th (eat your heart out St. Louis!!).  We will head up to Maddie's new school in late August to have a look and meet the office staff.  The teaching market is not looking great right now so we will see what happens for me.

Overall, everything is great here.  The weather is perfect and there is a lot to do.  I think we are finally caught up on blogging ... phew!  I will try and update regularly so you can see all our adventures up here.  Sending everyone lots and lots of love!
