We decided to open our family presents the weekend before Christmas so the girls could get some good play time in with both sets of toys. Boy are these two kids lucky. They have a lot of people who love them! Look at all those gifts ... not one is from Santa or mommy and daddy! Thank you to everyone. You were SO generous. Thank you.

Maddie got a cookbook and an apron (that says Chef Madeleine) from Donna, Grandpa Mitchell and Megan (embroidered by ZsaZsa). She decided to make her first recipe - Jasmine's Magic Carpet Roll Ups. They were delicious!

It was finally Christmas Eve. It was time for cookies and baking galore!

Evelyn was VERY mad that Santa got cookies and she did not. This was one of many fits (the cookies had to be moved to the big table because she could reach them on the shelf).
Santa arrived late that night. I walked into Maddie's room several times and she was pretending to sleep. She was so "nervous" about Santa. Eventually I walked into a room filled with the sweet song of her snoring and knew it was time for Santa to arrive.
