NYC Cousins!!

We were so excited to have our cousins come all the way out here from NYC! It was a long flight and Amy was very brave and did the trip here with both boys by herself! She gets a gold star!

We headed to the park for a little fun! Monkeys in the tree.

Swinging fun.

We went to the supermarket, of course, to load up on food. The two little ones loved driving the car!

Maddie was so excited that Amy was coming. Amy is a great cook and Maddie couldn't wait to cook with Amy. The made fresh bread the first day .... YUMMMM!!

We went to the zoo one day to wander around and see all the NW animals. We had lots of fun.

The next morning, was full of play time. We got the playdough out and had lots of fun making "cookies."

Lots of playing and loves (I love how Alec has his arm on Maddie and is smiling right at her - so sweet).

Peter's best friend was Magnus. He LOVED him. He gave him open mouth smooches (and got lots of licks in return), climbed on him, snuggled with him, and just couldn't get enough. Magnus liked all the attention too.

When I told Amy that blackberry bushes grow like weeds along the river, she was so excited! We grabbed a couple containers and went berry picking. Amy turned it into a delicious blackberry, peach and blueberry crumble. YUMMM!

Kickin' It with Auntie!

We took the kids to the park to play one day and saw this! How funny!

Alec LOVES trains. We thought it would be fun to go to the railroad museum and then take a train ride along the river. It was so nice!

Nothing like the slow lull of a train to put everyone to sleep.

Amy discovered that there is a Thomas and Friends MAGAZINE!! She bought a copy and the train museum and they all sat around reading it. How cute is this?!

On Sunday, we had a slow morning just hanging out.

Pile on Uncle Nick!

It was a beautiful day so we thought we would go up to Council Crest to see the view. Because of all the wild fires and the heat, though, the view was not great. We got some cute pix though.

During nap time, Alec and Maddie helped me make some cookies!

It was Monday - their last day - so we HAD to go on the tram! We were so excited!

Turns out the tram has no AC and it was HOT ... so the kids went and played in the cool fountains for a little bit.
It was so much fun having our cousins out to Portland to play! We will have to make a trip out to NYC soon! We miss you guys!
