Evelyn's Second Birthday Weekend

Our silly Evelyn turned 2! She celebrated her birthday at school on the 16th because we stayed home from school on Friday the 17th to celebrate with family. She went to school in her beautiful birthday outfit from ZsaZsa! She was sooooo excited!!!

I picked her up at the end of the day and she had a beautiful crown she did not want to take off! Her teachers said they sang happy birthday about 8 times. She LOVED hearing it!

At home she got her first present from PopPop and Suze - a ring pop. Her first. She LOVED it (as is obvious from her face - ha!)

That night we all walked to Buffalo Gap for a little dinner. Evelyn had a great time walking! So funny!
Evelyn watched the Cardinals in the NCLS for the third time in her life. First when she was born, then again for her first birthday and again for her second. Go Cards!
Maddy loves PopPop

Maddy had some homework to do. Evelyn decided she had homework too.

The next morning was Evelyn's actual birthday! She and Aunt Carolyn started the day by building tall towers! So much fun have Carolyn here to celebrate with us!!

Evelyn got a delivery from Nana ... a cookie bouquet! Yum!!!

That day we began making the cake. Maddy was in charge and was so great at decorating the train!
Evelyn was the official taste tester for all the toppings. Very important job.

Maddy did such a great job on the train!!

Suze got lots of loves!

After some delicious pizza it was time for cake!! Suze got some GREAT shots!

Then it was time to open ALLLLLLLLLL the presents!

PopPop looked beautiful in Evelyns other crown. :)

The next morning Evelyn was super excited about her Frozen shoes ...

... and ALL of her Frozen things!
Maddy had a special slumber party planned with PopPop and Suze that night and although she was only packing for one night, she needed a full backpack and suitcase. :)

To celebrate Evelyn's birthday we all went bowling! We had SO much fun!!!

Maddy was amazingly good! A bowling college scholarship might be in our future!

The next day, we headed to the pumpkin patch. Before leaving, though, we needed to fuel up ... on Voodoo Doughnuts, of course!!!

Bubble gum for Maddy of course

Portland cream for Evelyn.

We had SO much fun at the pumpkin patch!!

Maddy found the biggest pumpkin possible!

Another fun morning playing with Aunt Carolyn!

For her birthday, Evelyn got a balance bike from Mommy and Daddy. We were excited to get her out riding it. She did a pretty good job! She will be speeding away in no time!!
By the end of the bike ride, the children were being carried. :)

Happy birthday Evelyn! We love you!!!
