I was so excited to go to Eckert's Farm this year with Maddie. I have always wanted to go, so we thought we would go and pick some apples and get a pumpkin. Maddie had a great time and so did we!
It was pretty cold, so we all bundled up and headed in.

"Look at all these pumpkins!! Yeah, yeah, yeah!!!"

So ... I can only get 1?

"Let me test a couple out ..."

"Hmmm .... it is hard to choose."

"How about this one?"

"Let me just ... hmph ... I'll just pick it ... hmph ... wow, this is a big pumpkin.

"No, Daddy, I do NOT want to pet the baby camel."

The twins enjoy a little lunch on the wagon ride out to the farm. (please note the matching hands)

We went to pick apples first. There were Granny Smith and Fuji apples. Mmmm! There is a video at the end of Maddie picking apples.
"There's an apple!"

"Hmmm ... more pumpkins!"

"This one is more my size."

"Whatcha doing Daddy?"

"This way, Daddy. I found a good one over here!"

"This is kind of a strange pumpkin."

"Let me show you where the best pumpkins are, Daddy. This way."

"So many pumpkins. So little time."

"I got one!!!"

Tired of picking pumpkins, Maddie took a break on her daddy's shoulders.
"I don't like that hat, Daddy."

"Let me do your hair for you."

"You look beautiful, Daddy ... but there is something missing ..."

"... my pretty pink hat. There. Now you are so beautiful."

"Let's go home! Hey, wagon, wait for us! Why is my mom just standing here looking into the sun?!"

Here is a fun video of the whole day there. There is some apple picking and some pumpkin picking. There is one video where Maddie tries to pick up a pumpkin. I was about 45 seconds too late. She picked it up with one arm ... just picked it right up! We are thinking of entering her into the strongest baby in America contest.
We had a great day at Eckert's Farm. We can't wait to go back in the Spring and pick strawberries and peaches. Mmmmmm ... farm fresh fruit!

A wonderful pumpkin picture story!!
Also, maddie is as sweet as the apples she picked.
This really makes me long for a child - I can't wait for us to get to do these family outings someday! :)
