Pop Pop and Suz Visit

This week, Maddie's Pop Pop and Suz came for a visit (that is the name she has given them ... I like it!). As soon as they got to the house, Maddie made sure to give them a check up with her doctor kit.
She looked in their ears ....

PopPop needed a shot ...

and a kiss, of course.Then she and Suz made some dinner. Maddie cooked mushroom, doughnut and bread soup. Delicious!
The next day, I found Maddie with a collection of toys: a baby doll, a purse with her hair do stuff in it, and a light saber.


Later she found some cool glasses to try on but wanted her hair preedee, too.



Lately, Maddie has discovered that if she is quiet, she does not get caught. Her new thing is to find Mommy's phone and play her games. That's right people. She can open the iPhone and open her apps (yes, plural). Very funny.

Later that week, PopPop and Susan came over again to play with some freshly made (at 6AM on a Saturday ... why, oh why can't I sleep in!?!) play-dough (pink and purple).

After some indoor fun, we decided to head out to the park. It was a beautiful day. Maddie and Suz rode on the alligator ...
then they raced the cars ...
then PopPop pushed her on the swing.
We then moved to the baby playground where Maddie ordered everyone to their spot. Poor Suz was monkey in the middle ...
then Maddie thought it looked like fun and tried it herself.
Maddie then collected acorns. She only wanted the ones that were not cracked. She collected them in her small shirt pocket and would take them out every now and then to check them out.
We went to the rock wall and Maddie found a small space just for her.
For dinner, we went and had Barbeque. Mmmm ... After dinner, Maddie got some ice cream.
... and she LIKED it!
So did PopPop.

On our way out the door, Suz tried to get PopPop. Maddie would not let her. (I have put the original photo and then a zoomed in view because her face is just so cute).



It was a lot of fun seeing Pop Pop and Suz. They need to come back soon!
