Ice Skating

It has been quite a cold winter. We were all tired of staying inside (and it seems like so were a lot of people)! The sun came out so we all went out. How cold was it, you ask ... don't ask. You don't want to know.

We got all bundled up and went to Forest Park to skate outside. That is one cool part of living somewhere cold. We decided, sure ... Maddie is a whole 21 and a half months old ... sure she can ice skate!

We waited while Daddy got our things.
The smallest size they had was a size 6 ... perfect! Look at how teeeeeny they are!

Daddy took her out onto the ice.

Then the Zamboni came out ... that was pretty cool.
We tried again ...... that is the last of the photos because Maddie started to cry a little bit. Daddy skated and we watched all the other kids skating. Eventually, she went back out with her Daddy. Here is a video of our skating adventures.

After skating, Maddie wanted to play some games. We did not win anything, but she LOVED all the lights and music!

She might enjoy skating a little more next year. I think we might be a little hard core about her developmental milestones. :)
