Pumpkin Patch

It is that time of year again! Time to head to Eckert's Farm and go apple and pumpkin picking! This year was MUCH warmer than last year. Gaggy, Zsa Zsa (Linda), Maddie and I all headed out on a beautiful Saturday. Maddie immediately found the pile of pumpkins to play in.




We waited in line for the tractor to take us out to the pumpkin patch and Maddie found a way to entertain herself. Maddie has always been a hoarder. When she was very little, she would no leave her crib without all her binkis, her flat lamb and her blanket ... and she had to hold them all. Today she found walnuts on the ground.



I hope she drops this trend before the teen years. She is pretty cute at it, though.

We finally got to the apples and they were just beautiful. We picked Fuji apples.

I wanted another photo of Nick and Maddie together on the tractor like I had from last year. I could not get them to cooperate at the same time ... got LOTS of silly shots, though.

We finally made it to the pumpkins ... and Maddie was off. She literally ran to the other side of the patch.

It is amazing all of the different shapes and colors that you find in the pumpkin patch.After a long day in the pumpkin patch, Maddie and Zsa Zsa took a break in the shade.

We took our beautiful pumpkin home and set him up on our porch. Can't wait to carve him!
