We waited in line for the tractor to take us out to the pumpkin patch and Maddie found a way to entertain herself. Maddie has always been a hoarder. When she was very little, she would no leave her crib without all her binkis, her flat lamb and her blanket ... and she had to hold them all. Today she found walnuts on the ground.

I hope she drops this trend before the teen years. She is pretty cute at it, though.
We finally got to the apples and they were just beautiful.

(I could NOT get a smile out of her)
I wanted another photo of Nick and Maddie together on the tractor like I had from last year. I could not get them to cooperate at the same time ... got LOTS of silly shots, though.

(this last set of photos are called "Melissa's twins")

We finally made it to the pumpkins ... and Maddie was off. She literally ran to the other side of the patch.
Love it.
Last year
Maddie paused for a bite of fresh apple.

Maddie found a nice looking pumpkin.
... but it was a little heavy.
Gazing at the pumpkins and the soon to be Christmas Trees.
This one is perfect for hugging!
Having fun with Zsa Zsa.
A Midwestern view.
Thought this was kind of a cool picture (sorry ... loving my camera!).
Giving a pumpkin a hug. Weighs about as much as she does!
I'll take this one!It is amazing all of the different shapes and colors that you find in the pumpkin patch.
After a long day in the pumpkin patch, Maddie and Zsa Zsa took a break in the shade."Can I have this one?"
A quick family photo and then we were off.
