So Nick and I have been noticing just how verbal Maddie has become. It was about a year ago that we took her to Childrens to have tubes put in her ears, and it has made such a difference. She is just amazing everyone with her talking.
Maddie repeats everything we say, practicing new words. It is really helping her develop a pretty wide variety of words. She will sometimes forget a beginning or ending sound, but overall, we can understand what she is saying.
I will, however, provide a little translation of a new word developed tonight before dinner. She said she was hungry and I told her dinner was not quite ready. I offered her a snack. This post is here so nobody thinks I am a terrible parent.
Maddie's newest word: CRA'P
Said: crap
Definition: a small snack or appetizer one might enjoy before dinner or at a small get together
Root words: cracker and dip
CRA (from cracker)
P (from dip)
You are welcome, world. Please feel free to let guests know you will have wine and crap for them at your next get together. We certainly will.
