I woke Maddie up just before 8 and we decided to have a slow start to our snow day morning. Maddie hopped into bed and watched a little "Belle Booty Beast" (Beauty and the Beast) while I did a little laundry.

After her nap (and after it finally stopped snowing!) Maddie and I headed outside for a little fun (and of course to shovel all that snow!).
Last time it snowed, Maddie asked if it was pink snow. We decided to make our own pink snow. A little food coloring, a little warm water, and a spray bottle and ...

tah dah! PINK SNOW!!!

Maddie then decided that the snow tasted like ice cream and dove right in. She ate almost as much as I shoveled. It was really pretty efficient shoveling.

We got a lot of snow.

Still eating that snow ...

Lots of snow!

Maddie and I decided to go and sit in the snow and take some photos together.

Then we laid down in the snow.

This is after I finished shoveling. You can't really tell, but the ruler is in front of a pile of snow. This photo has zero perspective. That is just snow straight up in the air.

And, of course, no snow day would be complete without a little baking. Maddie and I made chocolate chip cookies for Daddy's arrival home.

This video will probably cause most of you to never want to eat anything made in my house again ... but it is still kind of cute.
