We woke up early this morning and got ready to go to the real beach today! We went to visit some of Amy's friends who have two little girls about Maddie's age. We were excited for a day of fun in the sun!
When we arrived, we found the girls making something Maddie had never seen before ... water balloons! After some fun in the pool we were ready for some fun with the water balloons. Maddie loved them! Her first one came right at me!
It was then time for the beach. Maddie put on her Uncle Manish's hat and was ready to go!
We all walked hand-in-hand right across the street. It was wonderful how close it was!
I must say, I was AMAZED at how beautiful the beach was. I wasn't expecting it to be so nice.
Maddie went right in! She loved the waves. They were MUCH bigger than in South Padre and the water was MUCH MUCH colder. We had so much fun at the beach!
Both kids fell asleep on the ride home, but still needed a little more quiet time. They set themselves up with some PB and J and the Incredibles movie. Look at these two friends. I love it!
Maddie enjoyed feeding Alec some of her PB and J toast. It was his first taste ... and he LOVED it!
Then it was bath time! We set the two cousies up in the big tub with some bubbles. They both LOVED it. They were very cute together.
Once again, another full day in NYC. I think we are going to wear poor Amy and Alec out! (and maybe me too!)
