Miss Maddie

I don't have as many pictures of Miss Maddie because she is at school all day. I thought I would add an entry about what she has been up to, though. 

Maddie is loving first grade. She is really so well and is showing a good understanding of math. She is able to think about how addition and subtraction problems work and not just memorizing facts. First Grade Teacher mommy is very impressed with her on a daily basis. Her teacher this year is wonderful. She is very loving and I think will be a great influence on Maddie.

At school, Maddie loves it when the boys are scared of her. She used to wear pretty shoes to school but they are difficult to run fast in so she now wears tennis shoes. Why is she running fast? Oh - because she is chasing the boys around the playground. :) Oh well!

The other night I was getting dressed to go out with Nick and was picking out some jewelry. I couldn't decide what to wear and was texting back and forth with Katie. Next thing I see if Maddie out of bed rummaging through my jewelry box picking things out for me to wear. :) She continues to be a super girlie girl.

At school, the kids made self portraits. This is Maddie's. I love it! Nick and I were talking about her first self portrait back in preschool. She has grown so much!
