I was cleaning my classroom today and Maddie met a very big milestone: she rolled over! Luckily, grandma was able to catch it on video.

Rolling over:
Once your baby has head control, and about the same time that she learns to sit on her own, she'll learn to roll over. She'll eventually learn to flip over from her back to her tummy and vice versa, and she'll use her newfound skill to get around a bit. The incentive for those early rolls is often an elusive toy — or you.
When it develops:
Your baby may be able to kick herself over, from her tummy to her back, as early as age 2 to 3 months. It may take her until she's about 5 or 6 months to flip from back to front, though, because she needs stronger neck and arm muscles for that maneuver.
**She is so smart!!**
What's next:
Your baby developed her leg, neck, back, and arm muscles while learning to roll over. Now she'll put those same muscles to work as she learns to sit independently and crawl. Most babies have mastered sitting up by 6 or 7 months; crawling comes a little later.
