Aunty Isabel's Birthday

We headed over to Aunty Isabel's (Momma's Nana's older sister - so Maddie's great great aunt) house to help her celebrate her birthday. We had lots of people to play with. Maddie LOVED playing with Sophie and all of the babies and chairs.


Elizabeth (Nana's first cousin ... so Maddie's third? second once removed? who knows?!) brought over some delicious Pikelets (New Zealand pancakes served cold with jam) ... Maddie ate 4!
Nana, Momma's Nana and Aunty Isabel all looked on with big smiles.

When we got home, Maddie drove Momma's Nana's car. MN was instructed to sit in the passenger side seat and put on her seat belt on. Maddie had no trouble switching sides of the car. She is just as fast driving on the other side of the road.


Side note on Maddie right now:
Maddie has an amazing memory. I learned not to promise something if I was not going to deliver. I told Maddie she could drive when we got home from Isabel's. Right as we pulled in she said "my vroom?" She remembered every little thing I told her we would do. She is really getting to be pretty amazing at remembering things.
